Rebecca Dwyer-Coop Leads Spark Community as Executive Director

Spark Community (formerly the Community School of Cleburne County) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca Dwyer-Coop as its executive director. With extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising and community engagement, Dwyer-Coop will lead the organization in advancing its mission to serve and support the local community through educational and outreach initiatives.

Dwyer-Coop brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Prior to joining Spark Community, she served as executive director of the United Way of White County. Her career also includes serving as director of development for the Methodist Family Health Foundation and associate director of development and marketing at the World Services for the Blind Foundation in Little Rock. Prior to working in nonprofit, she spent a decade teaching in Title I schools.

A certified fundraising executive (CFRE), Dwyer-Coop holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in education. Her core competencies include data and measurement, relationship and team building, organizational health, fundraising, strategic planning and leadership, writing, public speaking, budgeting, and collaborating with boards of directors.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dwyer-Coop is deeply engaged in the community. She has served on the boards of the Arkansas Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Ballet Arkansas. Additionally, she is an active member of the Junior League of Little Rock, Little Rock Rotary Club 99, and a volunteer for Well-Fed, a nonprofit dedicated to addressing food insecurity.

Dwyer-Coop and her husband, Luke, reside in Heber Springs and enjoy hiking, fishing, canoeing, and raising their four children together.
