Kitchen Staff Member

At Spark Community, we believe in supporting the whole child – including nourishing their growing bodies! We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented kitchen staff member to help prepare and serve healthy meals to our children and staff in a safe, clean, cheerful environment.

Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Assist with prepping meals by cleaning, cutting, peeling, and preparing ingredients according to daily menus and dietary guidelines.
• Dishwashing & Cleaning: Operate dishwashers, wash utensils and kitchen equipment, and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.
• Stocking & Replenishment: Monitor and restock food items, condiments, and tableware as needed to ensure smooth meal service.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures to maintain a healthy environment for children and staff.
• Other Duties: Support other kitchen or facility needs as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in food prep, dishwashing, or kitchen work preferred.
• Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and health standards.
• Dependable, punctual, and a team player with a positive attitude.
• Ability to pass background checks and meet state childcare licensing requirement.

Compensation: $11-12 per hour
